Why the change

The new Batch Build page (formerly called Batch Build Beta) includes several new fields and methods of organizing data for batching.  As we implement new features, we needed a more consolidated way to present orders for batching.  We know change is hard.  We hope that over time the value of our new Batch Build page will be evident.

What's Different - Pack One

The Batch Build Pack One page has been removed.  Now, PackOne orders are batched from the same grid as all of the other orders.

  • A PackOne Eligibility column can be used to identify all of the orders that are eligible for PackOne
  • The Cart Type Selection at the bottom of the Unassigned grid has PackOne as a cart option

A filter in the PackOne Eligibility and the PackOne cart selection can be saved into a Saved Filter called "PackOne".  Once this filter is saved, instead of opening a new page to see PackOne orders, that action is replaced with selecting the PackOne filter

What's Different - Unassigned Orders

For the most part, the Unassigned Orders grid is the same on our New Batch Build page compared to the previous Batch Build page.  There are only a few main differences.

  • The option "Include Single Item Orders" is no longer available.  Here's how to mimic it's functionality
    • Off (the default setting) - Set a filter in the New page to exclude PackOne orders
    • On - This is the new default.  All orders are included in the Unassigned grid.  PackOne orders displayed by default.
  • Search Bar is no longer included.  Instead of a global search across all fields, enter a more specific search by using the filter for the column you're attempting to search in
  • Assign vs Assign & Batch; Selected vs Filtered
    • The previous Batch Build page included 4 buttons to either Assign Selected, Assign Filtered, Assign and Batch Selected, or Assign and Batch Filtered.
    • The new Batch Build has provided additional options when batching.  To do this, you choose to either Assign (only assign the cart type and not actually batch the orders) or to Batch (assign the cart type and then bach the orders)
    • After selecting Assign or Batch, a popup will allow for further options.  This is where you will see the option for Selected vs Filtered

What's Different - Where's all the Carts?

The previous Batch Build page broke out all of the cart types into separate grids.  While this kept things organized, it also required some digging to find something that might have been unassigned or reset at some point.

Instead, the new Batch Build page consolidates all of these grids into a single grid we now call the Assigned Orders grid.  All orders that are assigned a Cart Type that have not yet been batched can be found in this single grid.  This will make finding orders that have been assigned easier.

How to find orders assigned to a Cart Type

  • An "Assigned To" column indicates which Cart Type the order has been assigned to
  • The Assigned Orders grid has a separate Saved Filter than the Unassigned Orders grid, unlike the previous Batch Build page. This allows for a separate focus when viewing the Unassigned vs Assigned orders.
  • Creating a Saved Filter for each of your Cart Types can replicate the functionality of the previous page.  Instead of scrolling to find the right cart type, select it from the Saved Filter list and apply it to the grid

Batching Assigned Orders

  • The previous Batch Build page included 3 buttons to either Batch Selected, Batch Filtered, or Unassign Selected
  • The new Batch Build has provided additional options when batching.  To do this, you choose to either Unassign the selected orders or to Batch.  After selecting Batch, a popup will allow for further options.  This is where you will see the option for Selected vs Filtered
